Some years back I did Veterans Bulletin Board on the Internet and a newsletter like this and also worked on a retiree one.  I was wondering if there is a use for the attached items for special groups of Veterans help personnel - doing the things like you do helping other Veterans or know of someone who does.  I felt a need for some local items but also sent it to some around the U.S. for any input they might have on Veteran helping groups or individuals that do this in their areas.  The addressees I emailed are from an older list.  I have been sending items as I run across to those I feel might need the info more on an individual basis.  If you deem it useful to your Veterans, all I need is an email address and name and I can set up a group mail list.

There is a very detailed and lengthy bulletin for both retirees and veterans published twice a month by USN Lt (Ret) James "Emo" Tichacek from the Retiree Activities Office, Baguio, in the Phillipines through Gulfport, MS.  The link is:  http://post_119_gulfport_ms.tripod.com/rao1.html   His Veterans information bulletins cover Medical Care, Medical Supplements, Travel and Immigration, Tax/SS/Insurance & Legal, Death & Survivors, Pay & Finances, & Tricare.

Operation Christmas Drop Exchanges Toys for Food The longest-running humanitarian mission ever undertaken by the U.S. military had added urgency this Christmas season. On sparsely-populated Kayangel Island, part of the Republic of Palau, the immediate need was for food and water rather than the toys and gifts that usually make up the cargo for "Operation Christmas Drop." Merry Christmas!
A
Nativity Scene was erected in a church yard.
During the night the folks came across this scene.

An abandoned dog was looking for a comfortable, protected place to sleep.
He chose baby Jesus as his comfort.
No one had the heart to send him away so he was there all night.

We should all have the good sense of this dog and curl up in Jesus' lap from time to time.
 This is too
great
not to share
No one mentioned that
the dog's breed is a"Shepherd!"
Keep Christ in Christmas
God Bless You
