Subject: [40/8 La Societe] National POW/MIA Recognition Day

I just found out about this. Sorry I am late, but still we all need to know about this and plan accordingly for next year. I did not know that we have a National POW/MIA Recognition Day. There is a website that you can visit and read some good stories, I urge all to visit it and reflect.

Each year on the third Friday of September, the United States officially honors all Americans ever held as prisoners of war and those still missing in action. This year, National POW/MIA Recognition Day fell on Friday, September 20. His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, invited the faithful to spend a few more moments in prayer on Friday to remember those brave men and women and their families who sacrificed their freedom for ours.
Archbishop Broglio said:
"Upon reflection we cannot help but realize that each casualty and every wounded warrior represents not one, but many lives affected. For those who are prisoners or missing in action, their fate is uncertain, cruel and, at least as far as their loved ones are concerned, without closure. Please pray on the 2013 National POW/MIA Recognition Day, and every day, for the service members whose whereabouts are still unknown. Pray for their families and those working hard to bring them closure. Pray that no more service members will face captivity or go "missing in action," and that all our deployed servicemen and women will return safely home. Above all, pray for just and lasting peace."

"Lest we forget, Lest we forget", please remember those that did not come home. Thank you, God Bless you and:
May God Bless the USA
