USVCP
Dear Joseph,

It's finally here, a brand new House bill has been introduced by Congressman Chris Gibson (D, N.Y.). Bill HR-969, titled the Blue Water Navy, Vietnam Veterans Agent Orange Act, was presented to the 114th Congress on February 13, 2015, and is referred to the House Committee of Veterans Affairs. This new bill replaces an older bill that died in the VA Congressional Committee of 2014. The new bill is to clarify presumptions related to the exposure of certain veterans who served in the vicinity of the Republic of Vietnam and for other purposes.

California offers many benefits to its veterans. For example, the College Fee Waiver Program offers children and dependents of service-connected disabled or service-related deceased veterans a waiver of tuition fees for California Universities and State and Community Colleges. Benefits are awarded on an "academic year" basis, and are based on the student's income. Students are required to reapply each year for continued benefits.

Compliment A Veteran Today

The best compliment you can give a veteran is a well enunciated..."Thank You for Your Service."  Words every veteran appreciates.  You can go a step further and provide a veteran with a beautifully framed Certificate of Appreciation thanking them for their service in writing.  A certificate a veteran can display proudly in his/her home.
